Tea Gardens

Tea Gardens is a vibrant township built on the banks of the Myall River and steeped in a village atmosphere. Located on the southern reaches of the Mid North Coast in NSW, an easy 2.5 hour drive north of Sydney and only 45 minutes drive from the City of Newcastle. Tea Gardens is surrounded by magnificent waterways and parks. To the north are the Myall Lakes, east is the Pacific Ocean (just a stone’s throw away), south are the pristine waters of Port Stephens, and west is a hinterland of national parks. 47-49 Marine Drive is only a 5 minute flat walk to Tea Gardens cafes, pub, restaurants, convenience stores and the ferry wharf to Nelson Bay. It’s only a 7 minute drive to the local surf beaches and Hawks Nest Golf Club.

Connected to its twin town of Hawks Nest by the ‘singing bridge’ over the Myall River, Tea Gardens is great for all activities on the water. Boating, fishing, paddling, you name it. The scenic area is also surrounded by gorgeous picnic spots such as the Black Oaks picnic area and National Parks to walk among the wildlife.

Hawks Nest, just minutes away from Tea Gardens is defined by its spectacular beaches. This beautiful area offers many walking tracks, riverside dining, cafes, boutiques, watersports, and other sports such as golfing at Hawks Nest Golf Club to keep you entertained.
